Stained Glass Interior Entrance PanelsCommissioned by Tony & Muriel WatsonHand-made sheet glass, Sand etchedThree panels that respond to the natural surrounding of our clients residence and their keen interest in their mature garden while maintaining the classic style of lead work for this period house. Colours where chosen to be warm, and natural echoing the seasonal colours in the garden. Clear glass was included to allow as much natural light as possible to filter into the main entrance hall. The artwork has been hand cut from flash glass and carefully sand etched to reveal the main Scots Pine feature, symbolic as being of the largest and Scotland’s most longest-lived tree and is a keystone species in the ecosystem, forming the 'backbone' on which many other species depend. All three panels have additional leaf artworks in each corner based on other prominent trees within the house grounds. |
